Lily Allen is known as much for her non-music related activities as for her musical talent. A teacher first heard her singing an Oasis song on the playground when she was 11. This led to singing and music lessons. Lily’s musical success also spawned many non musical activities including a TV program on BBC 3, feuds with Amy Winehouse and Katy Perry, and paparazzi following her every move. Even her background is a source of controversy. She claims to have grown up in public housing with her mother, but she also attended some of the UK’s most expensive private schools. What’s myth and what’s real may not be know, but the fact is that Lily is a musical talent that should continue to create great pop songs.
